Alexander Behrens joins Mayer Brown’s Banking & Finance practice in Germany

 

Frankfurt, 20 July 2015 – Mayer Brown is pleased to announce that Alexander Behrens has joined the Banking & Finance practice as a partner. Mr. Behrens, who will base his practice in Frankfurt, comes to Mayer Brown from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where he was a financial services specialist.

 

Mr. Behrens advises clients, which include German and international banks and financial services providers, on a wide range of issues in the financial services area, as well as banking regulatory matters. He has experience in own-funds issues, European Central Bank-related questions, recovery and resolution planning projects, risk management and compliance matters, remuneration issues and Markets in Financial Instruments Directive II. Furthermore, he advises on financial institutions groups IG M&A mandates and NPL deals, and he has experience in conducting internal investigations in the finance sector.
