Blakes is pleased to announce that our Tax group has been awarded the 2014 “Canada Tax Firm of the Year” for the sixth time in the last seven years. Blakes also received 2014 “Tax Court of Canada Firm of the Year” and an additional award for a private equity transaction. The awards were presented at the ninth annual International Tax Review (ITR) Americas Tax Awards, held September 18th at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City.
The Americas Tax Awards are awarded to firms that demonstrate the most innovative client work in their jurisdictions. Winners are selected based on ITR’s extensive independent research and analysis that reflects input from a broad spectrum of tax directors, peer reviews and detailed analysis. Blakes was nominated in nine categories, including for North America Tax Firm of the Year, North America Tax Disputes Firm of the Year, Canada Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year, and several other categories.
