Chris Skey Appointed to Chair the Board Development Committee of Chicago Volunteer Legal Services

CHICAGO, Ill. (March 2, 2015) — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced that Chicago partner Chris Skey has been appointed to chair the Board Development Committee of Chicago Volunteer Legal Services (CVLS).

Skey served as president of CVLS’s board of directors in 2013-2014 and now serves in an ex officio role on the board. The committee will make policy recommendations for the governance of CVLS through the organization’s main board of directors, as well as through its advisory and junior boards.

Skey is a member of the firm’s Energy Practice Group, where he handles complex energy matters on behalf of competitive energy suppliers (electric and natural gas), large commercial, industrial, and governmental energy users, energy cooperatives, public utilities, transmission companies, municipalities, trade groups, developers, lenders, building and facility owners, data centers, “green” energy suppliers, and other energy market participants. Skey is also the pro bono coordinator for the firm’s Chicago office.

He earned his law degree, cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law and his bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University.
