Philadelphia – February 9, 2015 – LawFuel.com – Pepper Hamilton LLP partner Neuman “Larry” Leverett has been selected for the 2015 Fellows Program of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD), a national organization comprised of the legal profession’s top general counsel and managing partners.
Launched in 2011, the LCLD Fellows program is designed to increase diversity at the leadership levels of the nation’s law firms and corporate legal departments. Over the course of the year-long program, participants are challenged to improve their professional brand, build relationships that enhance professional development, participate in corporate learning experiences, and sharpen stewardship and leadership skills. Pepper Hamilton has been a member of LCLD since its inception in 2009.
“Being selected as an LCLD Fellow is an honor, and I am looking forward to the opportunities that go along with being an LCLD Fellow, including networking with colleagues from around the country, establishing new relationships on behalf of the firm, and furthering my own professional development,” Leverett said.
Leverett, a member of the Pepper Hamilton’s White Collar Litigation and Investigations Practice Group, is a former federal prosecutor. As an Assistant United States Attorney, he prosecuted dozens of complex federal criminal cases involving health care fraud, government contract fraud, financial institution fraud, credit card fraud, insurance fraud, identity theft, violent crime and money laundering. Leverett is a member of the executive committee of the Federal Bar Association Criminal Law Committee, Philadelphia Chapter. He is a 2004 graduate of Rutgers School of Law-Newark and a 1997 graduate of The College of New Jersey.
Leverett is one of 183 attorneys from around the country who were selected as LCLD Fellows for 2015 – the largest class in the program’s history. He is the fifth Pepper to be selected as a Fellow, joining Andrea Toy Ohta (2014), Hyung P. Steele (2013), Isla L. Long (2012) and Kassem L. Lucas (2011).
