LAWFUEL – Law Firm Newswire – DLA Piper are delighted to announce the launch of their future trainee internet portal “Inside the Tent”, which came online on 2 January 2008. “Inside the Tent” works in a similar way to social networking sites such as “Facebook” or “Bebo” (although access is restricted solely to DLA Piper’s future trainees) and will allow DLA Piper’s Graduate Recruitment Team to communicate easily with their future trainees. It will also allow their future trainees to communicate with each other more effectively.
There will be a range of information available on the portal – the Graduate Recruitment Team will post regular updates, as well as news about the firm, and advertise forthcoming firm events and social activities. As the site is web based, trainees will have access to the monthly newsletter and other important information wherever they are based.
DLA Piper’s Head of Graduate Recruitment, Sally Carthy, said, “The new portal fits in with DLA Piper’s Sustainability Initiative as it means we no longer have to post out printed materials and information to nearly 200 future trainees on a monthly basis.
“DLA Piper has always placed great importance on keeping in regular contact with its future trainees. We want people to feel part of the organisation as soon as they accept a training contract with us. We hope that this site will encourage even greater interaction before the training contract begins.”
