Philadelphia, Pa. – April 6, 2005 – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Pepper Hamilton LLP announced that partners George A. Lehner, an experienced trial lawyer and mediator in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office, and David B. Stratton, a commercial
bankruptcy lawyer in Wilmington and head of the Bankruptcy and
Reorganization Practice Group in that office, have been elected to the
firm’s Executive Committee, the governing body of the law firm. Charles M.
Greenberg, a corporate partner in Pittsburgh and head of the firm’s sports
practice, was re-elected to the Executive Committee.
In addition to Messrs. Lehner, Stratton and Greenberg, Pepper’s Executive
Committee includes Barry M. Abelson, I. William Cohen, Julia D. Corelli,
Joseph V. Del Raso, Nina M. Gussack, Robert E. Heideck, Robert L. Hickok,
James D. Rosener and David A. Wormser.
Mr. Lehner is a member of Pepper’s Health Effects Litigation Practice Group.
He practices primarily in the area of civil litigation and arbitration,
concentrating in product liability, business tort, trade secret and
employment litigation. He has had substantial first-chair responsibility
for a variety of complex civil and mass tort litigation matters. Mr.
Lehner, who has been a Pepper partner since 1989, served as Deputy Assistant
Legal Adviser for International Claims and Investment Disputes at the U.S.
Department of State from July 2002 through June 2004.
Mr. Stratton is an insolvency and business reorganization lawyer with more
than 25 years of experience representing debtors, creditors’ committees,
secured creditors and individual creditors and parties in interest, both as
lead counsel and as co-counsel in bankruptcy courts in the District of
Delaware, the District of Maryland, the Southern District of New York and in
other bankruptcy courts in the United States. Mr. Stratton is also the
partner in charge of Pepper’s Wilmington office.
Mr. Greenberg is a general business lawyer who concentrates his practice in
the areas of sports and entertainment, emerging companies and business
counseling. His experience includes representing the deal team that
purchased the Pittsburgh Penguins NHL franchise out of bankruptcy,
representing the investor group that purchased the Florida Panthers NHL
franchise, and negotiating the purchase of a Major League Baseball
franchise. Mr. Greenberg also led a group of investors in purchasing the
Altoona Curve, a Minor League Baseball franchise that is the Class AA
affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Mr. Greenberg is president and
managing partner of the Curve.
