Lawfuel.com - It was a Hangover too for Hangover 2 producers Warner Bros as they sweated through the Mike Tyson face tattoo lawsuit that could have seriously delayed the release of the new movie. However the lawsuit from the tattoo artist was rejected, although court documents showed that the artist had reigstered the copyright and the boxer had signed a release acknowledging that the design was the property of the artist, S Victor Whitmill.
The case appeared to have merit because of the steps taken by the artist and there is no doubt that copyright exists regardless of where they might appear. Further, Mike Tyson's appearance in the first film gives credence to the claim.
However, in the meantime the release of Hangover 2 proceeds and the lawyers - for the moment - retreat.
