SAN DIEGO (July 26, 2011) – Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps LLP today announced that Edward Patrick “Pat” Swan, Jr., Partner-In-Charge of the firm’s San Diego office, was named a member of the Best Lawyers® Advisory Board. Best Lawyers is the oldest and most respected peer-review publication in the legal profession. The 25-year-old publication’s board includes leading lawyers from almost every major world economy as well as general counsel from global companies with business on every continent.

As a trial lawyer, Swan represents clients in complex civil and criminal litigation in Federal and State Courts throughout California and the United States in all areas including intellectual property, trade secrets, business, environmental, securities, fraud, personal injury, products liability, white collar fraud, false claims and commercial law. Swan is former Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of California. As a federal criminal prosecutor, he tried complex criminal cases, and had extensive grand jury, jury trial and appellate experience.
In addition to the Best Lawyers Advisory Board, Swan has served on various boards and is a member of several legal organizations, including the American Inns Of Court, the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, the San Diego County Bar Association, and the National Association for Criminal Defense Lawyers.
