Lawfuel.com - Great news emerged for Rookie guard Jimmer Fredette who scored 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting. but Golden State held off Sacramento 107-96 on Saturday in the preseason opener for both teams.

Fredette, the 10th overall pick out of BYU, shared team-high scoring honors with Marcus Thornton. Fredette made 4-of-6 attempts from 3-point range and also had four rebounds and four assists in 34 minutes.

The Kings' oldest starter was 25-year-old center Jason Thompson. Of the eight Kings who played double-digit minutes, only Thompson and Francisco Garcia (30) are older than 23.

Isaiah Thomas, the last player picked in the 2011 draft (60th overall), added 13 points and three assists for the Kings.

Golden State guard Stephen Curry led all scorers with 22 points. He also had six assists and six rebounds.
