Rock Star Lawyer Rejoins Davis Polk

So-called “rock star lawyer” Denis McInerney is to return to Davis Polk after his tour of duty with the Department of Justice according to reports from the New York Times and others.  He was previously litigation partner with Davis Polk before being invited to head the DoJ’s fraud department.

McInerney left Davis Polk in 2010 after spending many years at the firm as a litigation partner. He left the firm to become the chief of the fraud section for the Justice Department in Washington.
