LawFuel.com – Women in Law – Akerman Senterfitt today announced that Samantha Feuer, a lawyer with the firm’s Labor and Employment and Litigation Practice Groups in West Palm Beach has been honored with the Florida Association of Women Lawyers (FAWL) 2013 Annual Justice Barbara Pariente Award for her support in advancing women in the legal profession.
The Pariente Award is given annually to an individual or organization who has demonstrated a commitment to promoting women in the legal profession through leadership and innovation. Samantha is a member and past president of the Palm Beach County Chapter of FAWL.
Feuer concentrates her practice at Akerman on complex commercial litigation with a focus on representation of clients in the investigation and litigation of civil racketeering (RICO) and related matters. She regularly defends corporations in state and federal government investigations and lawsuits involving claims of false advertising, fraud and deceptive and unfair trade practices under The Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUTPA). She also has experience in the investigation and defense of employment litigation for management including non-compete agreements, theft of trade secrets and discrimination in the workplace.
Justice Pariente presented Feuer with the award during the annual Palm Beach County FAWL luncheon on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at the West Palm Beach Marriott.
