17 March 2005 – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Clifford Chance LLP Litigation and Dispute Resolution partner Simon Davis has been elected as Vice President of the London Solicitors’ Litigation Association (LSLA).

Clifford Chance LLP Litigation and Dispute Resolution partner Simon Davis has been elected as Vice President of the London Solicitors’ Litigation Association (LSLA).

“I am delighted to have been appointed as Vice President. The LSLA has a key role in representing and protecting the interests of litigation solicitors and ultimately their clients.” said Davis.

In September 2004 Simon Davis also won the seat as City of London representative to the Law Society Council.

Established over 50 years ago, the London Solicitors Litigation Association represents the interests of litigators across London. The LSLA currently has over 800 members and regularly consults on issues affecting civil and commercial litigation.

Members of the LSLA Committee sit on the Civil Justice Council, the Civil Rules Committee, The Law Society Civil Litigation Committee, the Commercial Court Users Committee and the Supreme Court Costs Group. Recently, the LSLA has produced papers assisting with the debate on the Supreme Court, the QC system, judicial appointments system, various aspects of the costs regime, and ADR.

British MP George Galloway and his opponent the Daily Telegraph will leave no stone unturned to sort out what could be a spectacular libel case.
