8 November – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Allen & Overy has bolstered its international antitrust team and in particular its EU litigation capability with the appointment of Richard Wainwright, former Head of the Competition Team at the Legal Service of the European Commission.
Richard has some 30 years experience at the European Commission, during which he acted in approximately 300 cases before the European Court. Prior to his role as Head of Competition, he acted as Head of the team specialising in internal market, energy and environment. He also acted as Member of the Governing Board of the Trier Academy of European Law. Richard will divide his time equally between Allen & Overy’s London and Brussels offices.

The team has an extraordinary track record in advising on some of the most complex mergers and behavioural cases.
