Attorney Glenn E. Davis of Gallop Elected Vice Chairman of the Academy of Antitrust Law of the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA)

FEBRUARY 5, 2012, St. Louis, Missouri… Glenn E. Davis, Chair of Gallop’s Litigation Department, has been elected Vice Chair of the Academy of Antitrust Law of the Litigation Counsel of America™ (LCA).

Based in New York, the Litigation Counsel of America is an invitation-only trial lawyer honorary society, with membership limited to 3,500 Fellows, representing less than one-half of one percent of all American lawyers. The composition of the LCA is aggressively diverse, to reflect the new face of the American bar by recognizing excellence among all segments of American litigation and trial counsel. LCA’s Academy of Antitrust Law is one of a limited number of institutes formed by LCA Fellows to facilitate independent study, education and practice development under the auspices of the society and ICA primary by-laws.

The purpose of the LCA is to recognize deserving, experienced, and highly qualified lawyers, to provide a forum for scholarly authorship of legal articles on trial and litigation practice, to provide outstanding resources for professional development, to promote superior advocacy and ethical standards in the practice of law, to assist in community involvement by its membership, and to advance a superior judiciary, by taking relevant positions on issues or legislation affecting judicial compensation and/or benefits, as well as those affecting the American litigation processes.

The Academy of Antitrust Law will facilitate advanced study of antitrust law and economic issues, provide a unique forum for members across the country to interact and exchange best practices, and offer opportunities for scholarly writing on antitrust litigation, advocacy, compliance, and policy topics. The Academy already includes leading antitrust lawyers from around the country and a well-known staff counsel from the Federal Trade Commission.

Mr. Davis is a Charter Fellow in the LCA. His practice area expertise includes Antitrust Litigation and counseling, Business Litigation and Securities Litigation. He has successfully handled sophisticated antitrust litigation, class action and corporate business matters for clients in agribusiness, construction equipment, franchising, healthcare, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, product distribution, securities, financial services and other industries. In addition to numerous jury and bench trials in federal and state courts, he has litigated in hearings, tribunals and investigative proceedings before the Federal Trade Commission, the Securities Exchange Commission and other industry arbitration forums.

Mr. Davis has been recognized as a Missouri Super Lawyer annually since 2005 and named one of the top 50 lawyers in St. Louis in 2011. He is also named in Best Lawyers for antitrust law and litigation and several other categories. He is a graduate of Washington University School of Law and DePauw University.
