Boston – (February 27, 2006) – Holland & Knight LLP today announced that Boston senior counsel Martha Born was appointed by the president of the Boston Bar Association to the Boston Bar Association’s Ad Hoc Committee on Bar Discipline. The Chief Justice of the Supreme Judicial Court has requested the BBA’s advice on recommendations aimed at improving the lawyer disciplinary system in Massachusetts.
Born is a trial lawyer whose primary areas are professional liability litigation and business torts. She has successfully defended law firms and attorneys in legal malpractice trials, partnership disputes and disciplinary proceedings. She is co-chair of the BBA’s Massachusetts Practice and Procedure Committee, and past chair of the BBA’s Professional Liability Committee.
Born graduated from Brown University, magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and from Harvard Law School, cum laude.
