LawFuel.com – Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps LLP, a prominent California law firm, today announced partners Peter J. Gluck and Mark H. Krietzman, were recognized earlier this month by the Los Angeles and San Francisco Daily Journal as two of the Top 25 intellectual property portfolio managers and patent prosecutors in California.
Gluck and Krietzman are both located in Luce Forward’s Orange County office and co-chair the firm’s thriving Technology Law Group (TLG). Together, they counsel public, private, start-up and developing companies on how to design their technology into mapped “white-spaces” around the competitors’ holdings.
Gluck, who specializes in patent procurement, as well as the valuation and development of patent portfolios and strategies for medical device companies, has nearly 20 years of experience as an intellectual property lawyer. In 2009, Gluck’s patent portfolio clients obtained more than $77 million in venture funding, and another $30 million of strategic and angel investing. He also filed new patents for at least three, cutting-edge medical device clients who have devices in the clinics now or in the immediate future.
Krietzman’s practice combines patent law with business counseling and intellectual property strategy for national and international private and publicly traded companies. With more than 20 years of experience, his capability spans diverse disciplines, including chemical, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, electrochemistry (fuel cell), hydrogen generation, advanced battery technology, distributed power generation, plasmonics, and medical devices. In 2009, he was successful in developing alternative energy patent portfolios for clients such as Intelligent Energy Inc. and Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies.
