Debevoise advises Schneider Electric in its agreement to acquire the leading software firm TELVENT

New York – June 1, 2011 – Debevoise & Plimpton LLP is advising Schneider Electric in its definitive agreement for the acquisition of Telvent GIT SA (NASDAQ: TLVT), a leading IT software and solutions provider to the electricity, water, transportation and oil & gas industries. The total transaction value is approximately $2 billion (~€1.4 billion) on an enterprise value basis.
