DLA Piper is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Office Managing Partner for Manchester. Simon Woolley will retire from the firm, effective 31 October 2009. He will be succeeded by David Gray, who is also UK head of the Litigation and Regulatory group.
Simon commented “DLA Piper is a great firm and Manchester is a fantastic office. This was not an easy decision, but, after 16 years with the firm, and nearly three years as Office Managing Partner, I felt that now is the time to pursue other business challenges.”
David Bradley, DLA Piper’s UK Managing Partner, said: “Simon is leaving us to pursue new business challenges and I know that this decision has not been taken lightly. I should like to thank Simon for his contribution to the firm, our national Finance practice and the Manchester office during his career with us. I wish him well and every success in the future.
I am delighted that David Gray, a long-standing partner in the firm and the Manchester office, and the Head of our UK Litigation and Regulatory practice, has agreed to become the Office Managing Partner. He will provide strong leadership for the office and I look forward to working with him.”
David Gray, DLA Piper’s new Office Managing Partner for Manchester from 1 November 2009, said: “Having equally enjoyed working with Manchester businesses and for DLA Piper for over 20 years, I am excited at the responsibility to support our Manchester office. I look forward to maintaining the excellent services our clients have come to expect and building new relationships with local, national and international businesses.”List your legal jobs on the LawFuel Network
