CHICAGO, 06 June 2011 – Hubbard One, the leading marketing and business development solutions provider for legal and professional services firms, announced today that the global law firm Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge LLP (EAPD) will use its XMLAW OneView Connect solution, for a significant upgrade to the firm’s intranet.
Hubbard One’s market-leading OneView platform is used by more than 100 law firms worldwide, and facilitates integration for multiple, commonly used, law firm systems in the areas of document management, customer relationship management, time and billing, relational databases and web services. Built on Microsoft’s SharePoint platform, the OneView Connect solution takes full advantage of the features and benefits of SharePoint while combining content and functionality from existing systems in a familiar, configurable interface.
With 550 attorneys in 13 offices in the U.S., U.K. and Hong Kong, EAPD is ranked in the Am Law 100 and specializes in the corporate, insurance, finance, litigation, intellectual property and private client sectors.
A Hubbard One client since 2005, EAPD selected the OneView solution in order to implement a new firm-wide intranet that reflects their growing size and better manages the increasing level of information that needs to be safely stored and easily accessed within the firm. The new intranet will enable information streaming across the network of offices, and promises to improve the flow of internal communication.
“At present, our existing intranet is information-heavy and outdated,” commented Gina Carriuolo, director of Marketing at EAPD. “We needed a sophisticated and intuitive solution that would work alongside the existing software to create an information-rich intranet that would allow faster access to data. OneView Connect fitted the brief perfectly.
“We chose Hubbard One for this project given the positive experiences we’ve had with them before and the reputation of the XMLAW products in this market. We’re very excited to get started on the implementation phase and we look forward to working further with Hubbard One to build on this platform.”
“As the level of information that firms are dealing with on a daily basis continues to increase, so too does the need for sophisticated, yet integrated systems that allow staff to quickly and easily access data,” added Timothy B. Corcoran, Vice President of Hubbard One. “It’s great to see the merits of these products being recognized by such high-caliber firms as EAPD, and we look forward to taking our relationship with them to the next level.”
