Eversheds wins European Pensions Law Firm of the Year Award – International Legal Newswire

LawFuel.com – 10 July 2009 — International law firm Eversheds was last night named Law Firm of the Year at the European Pensions Awards. Eversheds beat off competition from rivals Baker & McKenzie, DLA Piper, Linklaters, Lovells and Wragge & Co for the coveted award.

Eversheds was praised for its work in pension scheme buyouts with the teams in the UK and Ireland singled out for special commendation.

The European Pensions Awards recognise outstanding achievement in the varied fields of European pension provision, honouring the investment firms, consultancies and pension providers across Europe that have set the professional standards in order to best serve European pension funds in these increasingly challenging times.

Eversheds head of pensions, Anthony Arter comments:

“It’s fantastic to be recognised for our clear strategy to win and deliver on some of the most high profile and largest pension schemes in Europe. The expertise within the Eversheds pensions team is second to none and as we expand the group we look forward to building on our momentum.”

The Awards were attended by 250 leaders in the pensions profession at an event in London.
