FORMER FBI AGENT SENTENCED IN MANHATTAN FEDERAL COURT TO ONE YEAR AND ONE DAY IN PRISON FOR MAKING FALSE STATEMENTS

10 April 2012 – Preet Bharara, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, announced that ADRIAN BUSBY, a former Special Agent with the New York Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (“FBI”), was sentenced today in Manhattan federal court to one year and one day in prison for making false statements. BUSBY was convicted in November 2011 after a five-day jury trial. U.S. District Judge Harold Baer, Jr. presided over the trial and imposed today’s sentence.
