Kilpatrick Stockton today announced that Penni Bradshaw has received certification as a specialist in immigration law by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization. Ms. Bradshaw is a partner in Kilpatrick Stockton’s Winston Salem office, where her practice focuses on immigration and employment law.
In addition to Ms. Bradshaw, 39 other attorneys across the state were certified on November 14 by the Board of Legal Specialization. The Board certified lawyers in six areas of law: estate planning and probate law, family law, criminal law, immigration law, real property law, and workers’ compensation law. There are now over 500 Board certified legal specialists in North Carolina, with only 15 of those being immigration law certified. Ms. Bradshaw is the only Board-certified immigration specialist in Winston-Salem.
“The program of legal specialization in North Carolina is of particular importance to consumers of legal services,” said Christy E. Ried, Chair of the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization. “It helps individuals who need legal assistance or representation to make informed choices about the selection of a lawyer.”
