BALTIMORE May 21, 2008 (Lawfuel) The law firm Ober|Kaler has selected Christopher F. Lonegro for its annual Pro Bono Distinguished Service Award, an honor presented by the firm annually in recognition of outstanding pro bono legal service contributions made by its lawyers.
Mr. Lonegro was honored for his work on behalf of Food and Friends, Inc., a
Washington, DC-based nonprofit that provides meals, groceries and nutrition
counseling to people living with life-challenging illnesses. Mr. Lonegro helped
to successfully mediate a dispute that arose with architects and builders
working on a new kitchen facility for the group.
In addition to recognizing Mr. Lonegro, Ober|Kaler will make a $5,000
contribution in his name to Food and Friends.
The Pro Bono Distinguished Service Award is presented annually to
acknowledge outstanding pro bono legal service contributions as measured by
the number of pro bono hours worked, the quality of the work and results
