LawFuel.com – A Lehman Brothers banker and Democratic party fundraiser has resigned suddenly, without explanation.

George H. (“Woody”) Young III rose to prominence with his role in advising on major telco deals recently, as well as other major takeovers, including representing SBC Communications involving SBC’s Cingular mobile group buying AT&T in a $40 billion deal.

Young’s banking group also worked on Sprint’s $36bn merger with Nextel in late 2004, and on Verizon’s $2.7bn sale of access lines in New England.
