London – LAWFUEL – Law News, Law Jobs Network – DLA Piper has advised The Royal Bank of Scotland plc on its provision of £28 million term loan and working capital debt funding which was utilised in part to fund the acquisition of KBBI Group Limited by existing management. Private equity funding was provided by Phoenix Equity Partners LLP.
The Royal Bank of Scotland plc is an existing client of DLA Piper.
The DLA Piper team was led by Banking partner Peter Crichton assisted by solicitors Nichola Shaw and Ali Akbar, and trainee solicitor Jon McKay.
Peter Crichton said: “This was a particularly interesting transaction because of the time frame we were asked to operate in. The Bank was appointed on Thursday, 7 December with a view to completing on Tuesday, 12 December. We and the Bank were able to meet this timetable, although other factors delayed completion by a few days.
We are delighted to have once again been involved with The Royal Bank of Scotland plc for whom we have acted for a number of years.”
