London, United Kingdom –LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Dechert LLP today announced that Mr. Adam Levin will be joining Dechert’s London office as a partner 1 September 2005.
Adam is currently a corporate partner in Baker & McKenzie’s London office specialising in advising private equity houses, most notably Platinum Equity LLC and Crossroads Capital Investments Inc. He has worked on many high profile transactions in the private equity arena, including advising Platinum Equity on its £103 million acquisition of Hays PLC’s Logistics Services Division across twelve jurisdictions and on the acquisition of Alcatel SA’s Enterprise Distribution and Services Businesses across seventeen jurisdictions, and Crossroads Capital Investments in relation to the acquisition of OKD a.s., the Czech Republic’s largest coal mining group – the country’s largest private equity transaction in 2004.
Adam qualified as a solicitor at Slaughter & May and was previously a partner at Church & Grace in Sydney, Australia.
Dechert is expanding its transatlantic M&A and private equity practice in London. Recently, Douglas L. Getter, formerly head of Dewey Ballantine’s European M&A practice, joined Dechert in London.
