LOS ANGELES– LAWFUEL – The Los Angeles Area Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners:


The Los Angeles Area Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners is one of the sponsors of the ‘Investigative Ethics: Realities in Practice’ Seminar along with Loyola Marymount University’s Center for Accounting Ethics, Governance, and the Public Interest in Los Angeles on June 14th, 2007, on the main campus of scenic Loyola Marymount University. The program is approved for CPA and attorney continuing education credit.

World class practitioners in their fields will explore the realities of ethical investigations. The program includes presentations and a panel discussion. Investigative professionals will hear from speakers on investigative ethics and the whistleblower; handling hotline responses; and ethical lapses/legislative reprisals. Speakers include Richard Horowitz, Attorney at Law, an internationally recognized expert in the areas of terrorism, money laundering and investigations, and the legal and ethical aspects of acquiring competitive intelligence; Bruce H. Hulme, CFE, President of Special Investigations, Inc., Legislative chair for the National Council of Investigation & Security Services Administrative Office; Bunny Greenhouse, former Chief Contracting Officer of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Iraq and Hurricane Katrina whistleblower; and other prominent investigative professionals.

The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) is the leading anti-fraud association in the world, providing knowledge and training used to reduce the occurrence of corporate fraud.
