Samay is a highly-regarded litigator with extensive experience managing complex patent litigation and a wide range of other commercial matters.

Samay was most recently a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP where he focused on intellectual property disputes and all aspects of commercial litigation. He has conducted jury and bench trials in state and federal court. He has also conducted Markman hearings and has argued motions and substantive matters in trial and appellate courts.
Samay earned his juris doctor from Columbia University School of Law, where he was senior editor for the Columbia Law Review, named a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and a recipient of the Archie O. Dawson Prize. He also earned an M.B.A. from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business. He received his bachelor’s degree from Bucknell University.
