New York, July 31 2007 – LAWFUEL – The Lawyer Newswire – Dewey Ballantine LLP, a global law firm, announced today the addition of Evan Koster as a partner in its New York office. Mr. Koster is a highly skilled practitioner with a focus on fixed income, equity, credit and commodity derivatives. Mr.Koster’s practice also focuses on structured products and related securities and commodities laws issues, including equity, fixed income, credit and commodity linked notes. Mr. Koster previously worked at UBS Investment Bank, where he was a Director and Senior Counsel.
Mr. Koster’s practice focuses on derivatives in relation to the high yield, structured products and emerging markets sectors. Prior to his time with UBS, he worked at Citigroup Private Bank, advising on the legal aspects of commodities, credit and equity derivatives, foreign exchange and structured notes.
Mr. Koster also has extensive experience in Latin American financings and capital market transactions, having worked at a law firm in Venezuela. Mr. Koster is fluent in Spanish.

From 1997 to 2001, Mr. Koster was an associate at Chadbourne & Parke in its project finance group. He received his JD in 1990 from George Washington University Law School, where he was Associate Editor of the Law Review. He also holds a Masters in Latin American Studies and Comparative Development from the University of Miami Graduate School of International Studies, and is a 1985 cum laude graduate from Brandeis University.
