It does not require opening the fiber at the splice point for identification thus avoids interrupting service.
This high performance optical fiber identifier, model A0640003, works at wavelengths from 900nm to 1650nm and has an optical power reading range of -30dBm to 5dBm. It conveniently tests and detects optical signals, modulation signals and the presence or absence of signals during the process of installation, maintenance, rerouting or restoration. The identifier also easily detects the relative core power of optic fiber using its power display function. It provides 0.25, 0.9, 2.0 and 3.0 replaceable adaptors to satisfy various optical cables. What’s more, frequency signals including CW, 270Hz, 1kHz and 2kHz can also be identified.
