6 September 2011 – The arrest of actor Anthony Michael Hall, who appeared in movies such as “Sixteen Candles” and “The Breakfast Club,” was for suspicioon of disturbing the peace, according to Police. The arrest occurred in Playa del Rey after a neighbour called police and demanded the actor be arrested..
Hall, 43, was taken into custody by officers with the LAPD’s Pacific Division and has been released on $500 bail. The Los Angeles Times report that the actor had been ripping up plants from the condominium complex where he was arrested and when confronted by residents became abusive and obscene, challenging one resident to a fight, according to reports.
Hall, whose actual name is Michael Anthony Hall, also was a former cast member of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.” Hall also has the leading role in the television series “The Dead Zone.”
