Tahir To Appear In Denver Court On Flight Interference Charges Today

Muhammad Abu Tahir, age 46, of Virginia, will appear in U.S. District Court in Denver today at 3:00 p.m., before U.S. Magistrate Judge Kathleen M. Tafoya, for an initial appearance, where he will be advised of the charges pending against him. The hearing will take place at the Byron Rogers U.S. Courthouse, located at 1929 Stout Street, in Courtroom C-201. Tahir has been charged with interference with a flight crew as a result of his action aboard a commercial airliner on January 9, 2010. His mid-air conduct forced the commercial flight to land in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
