London, 26 March, 2010 – Leading international law firm Mayer Brown is advising Independent News Media plc in connection with the disposal of its UK titles – The Independent and The Independent on Sunday and related website, www.independent.co.uk.
The acquisition, which was announced yesterday, is by Independent Print Limited – owner of The Evening Standard and controlled by Alexander Lebedev.
