Lawfuel.com – Great news emerged for Rookie guard Jimmer Fredette who scored 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting. but Golden State held off Sacramento 107-96 on Saturday in the preseason opener for both teams.

Fredette, the 10th overall pick out of BYU, shared team-high scoring honors with Marcus Thornton. Fredette made 4-of-6 attempts from 3-point range and also had four rebounds and four assists in 34 minutes.

The Kings’ oldest starter was 25-year-old center Jason Thompson. Of the eight Kings who played double-digit minutes, only Thompson and Francisco Garcia (30) are older than 23.
