Paul specialises in asset and structured finance and has wide experience of most aspects of non-contentious aviation work, including all types of commercial debt financing, export credit financing, tax leases, sale and leasebacks, finance leases and operating leases, as well as financing and leasing transactions involving motor vehicle fleets, rolling-stock, telecommunications equipment and project finance. Paul began his career in Australia, worked in London and Paris for several years and joined Clifford Chance’s Tokyo office in 2001. Paul is admitted in Australia and England and Wales.
Angela has been working as a lawyer in Tokyo for approximately 9 years and specialises in advising Japanese and non-Japanese clients with respect to corporate and commercial transactions. Her practice focuses primarily on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity, and intellectual property and information technology matters. Prior to joining Clifford Chance in June 2004, Angela was with Morrison & Foerster LLP’s Tokyo office. Angela is admitted in Australia and speaks Japanese.

Tim Jeffares and Keiji Isaji, joint managing partners of Clifford Chance’s Tokyo office*, commented:
“Our Japanese and international clients value talented lawyers such as Paul and Angela, who have both international expertise and a deep understanding of the Japanese market. They are valuable members of our Japan practice, which continues to grow from strength to strength, and we are delighted with their appointments.”

British MP George Galloway and his opponent the Daily Telegraph will leave no stone unturned to sort out what could be a spectacular libel case.
