WASHINGTON–LAWFUEL – IP Law, Law Jobs –Hunton & Williams LLP today announced Thomas A. Corrado has joined the law firm’s 100-member intellectual property practice as counsel, in its McLean office. Most recently with Kilpatrick Stockton, Corrado specializes in patent law and has significant experience in patent prosecution, patent litigation defense, and intellectual property transactional matters.
Corrado is admitted to practice in Virginia and the District of Columbia and before the US Patent and Trademark Office. He received his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from the University of Massachusetts. Following graduation, for five years Corrado was employed by the US Department of the Army at the Picatinny Arsensal, where he conducted feasibility studies on seeker and sensor technology for smart munitions. Corrado received his law degree and masters of intellectual property from Franklin Pierce Law Center.

In the trade secrets area, the practice covers counseling, licensing and litigation. The group also handles due diligence investigations of intellectual property rights, such as in the context of a potential corporate merger or acquisition.
