White Collar Antitrust Lawyer Joins DLA Piper in San Francisco 4

May 7, 2015 – DLA Piper announced today that Lisa Tenorio-Kutzkey has joined the firm’s Litigation practice as a partner in the San Francisco office.

Tenorio-Kutzkey focuses on white collar matters in all phases of federal government investigation. She has particular experience in antitrust cartel investigations and defense, in which she represents Fortune 500 companies and executives involved in alleged price-fixing, bid-rigging, and market allocation conspiracy matters. In addition, she is well versed in all facets of FCPA investigations, defense and compliance.

Earlier in her career, Tenorio-Kutzkey was a trial attorney with the US Department of Justice, Antitrust Division and a Special Assistant US Attorney for the Northern District of California.

“Lisa’s extensive antitrust cartel, investigation and defense experience make her a superb addition to our practice group, especially in light of the intense level of activity currently ongoing in this area,” said David Bamberger, co-chair of DLA Piper’s US Antitrust and Trade Regulation group. “Her deep understanding and experience in global antitrust and competition matters will be invaluable in both client counseling and litigation.”

Tenorio-Kutzkey is the latest addition to the firm’s US Litigation practice, which has recently welcomed: Amor Esteban in San Francisco; Mike Piazza and Linda Smith in Los Angeles; Tom Shakeshaft in Chicago; Justice Henry duPont Ridgely in Wilmington; and Rodney Villazor in Short Hills.

“As a former federal prosecutor and having that insider perspective, Lisa will enhance our litigation capabilities on the West Coast, and will be a valuable asset for those who are subject to investigations by the DOJ, in addition to a range of other matters,” said David Gross, regional chair of DLA Piper’s US Litigation practice.

Tenorio-Kutzkey joins the firm from Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP. She received her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, and her B.A. from Stanford University.
