LawFuel.com – The Lance Armstrong scandal has galvanised the sporting and the non-sporting world like almost none other, but one legal question that has to be asked is why the US prosecutors would not pursue the doping case against the disgraced cycling star.

In February, the U.S. Attorney in Los Angeles, Andre Birotte Jr., dropped a two-year criminal investigation into Mr. Armstrong and his U.S. Postal Service cycling team that had looked into whether Mr. Armstrong and others defrauded sponsors by operating a sophisticated doping program.
