Greenberg Traurig Continues to Grow Its Tampa Bay Office

TAMPA, Fla.–LAWFUEL – The Legal Newswire – The international law firm Greenberg Traurig continues to grow its Tampa Bay office with the addition of associates in the areas of Appellate, Litigation, and Labor and Employment Law.

Allison M. Gluvna joins the firm’s national Appellate practice, which has more than 40 attorneys. Matthew A. Crist joins the national Litigation department with more than 500 attorneys. Heather N. Jarrell and Ashwin R. Trehan join the firm’s nationally recognized Labor and Employment team of nearly 90. In May, the firm expanded the office with the addition of a group of well-respected Labor and Employment Law attorneys headed by Peter W. Zinober and Richard C. McCrea, Jr.

With the addition of these attorneys, Greenberg Traurig’s Tampa Bay office has grown by 15 lawyers since its founding in August of 2006. The office represents clients in a broad range of civil and criminal litigation, trial, and appellate practice in state and federal courts; environmental and land use law; labor and employment; construction, architecture, and engineering law; taxation, lending, and other financial matters; as well as business planning and transactions. The managing shareholder of the downtown Tampa office is David B. Weinstein, a trial lawyer with a national reputation in complex environmental and other litigation.

Gluvna focuses her practice on appeals and other complex litigation. She has experience representing clients in federal and state courts in a variety of substantive areas, including environmental and commercial matters. She received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and an A.B. in Psychology and English from Duke University. She is admitted to practice in Georgia as well as in Florida. Crist, a former American History teacher, received a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, and a B.A., with honors, in Political Science-International Relations from the University of Florida. He is admitted to practice in Florida and before the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Jarrell has experience in representing and advising employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, whistleblower, retaliation, and related state tort and contract issues. She has represented employers before federal and state courts, as well as administrative agencies. Jarrell also has experience in helping clients develop and implement employment policies and procedures designed to foster positive employee relations and to minimize legal risks. She received a J.D., magna cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law and a B.A. in Foreign Affairs and French from the University of Virginia. Trehan received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and a B.S. degree, with honors, in Business Administration, also from the University of Florida.
