About the role<\/strong><\/p>\n Our client is looking for an accomplished Senior Legal Counsel to provide extra resource to their General Counsel, Company Secretary as together you will be a dynamic and high performing team of two.<\/p>\n You will provide commercially pragmatic legal advice across a broad range of business-critical matters. The role is based centrally, with flexible working arrangements available, including hybrid and remote working options for the right candidate.<\/p>\n Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will advise on commercial contracts, corporate transactions, dispute management, property projects, privacy and regulatory compliance matters.<\/p>\n This is a true business partnering role where you will work closely with operational and leadership teams, helping to manage risk, support strategic initiatives and deliver practical legal solutions that enable commercial success. \n\uf0b7 A lawyer with at least 10 years\u2019 good quality post-admission experience who holds (or is
\nentitled to hold) a current NZ practising certificate
\n\uf0b7 Strong commercial contracting and advisory experience
\n\uf0b7 A commercially pragmatic and solutions-focused approach
\n\uf0b7 Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
\n\uf0b7 Experience managing complex legal, commercial and reputational issues
\n\uf0b7 The ability to work autonomously and exercise sound judgement
\n\uf0b7 Strong communication, drafting and negotiation skills
\n\uf0b7 Experience in property, disputes, privacy or regulatory matters would be advantageous
