This includes leading regulatory engagement, supporting compliance obligations, contributing to the development of market rules and policy settings, and advising on regulatory aspects of market and product initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will play a key role in shaping regulatory frameworks, engaging with domestic and international regulators, and contributing to policy submissions impacting New Zealand\u2019s capital markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a role that offers both variety and visibility \u2014 ideal for someone who enjoys working close to decision-making, taking ownership of their work, and contributing to outcomes that matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The team is supportive, intellectually curious, and genuinely passionate about their work. You will be encouraged to bring fresh thinking, develop your expertise, and grow your career in a values-driven environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What we\u2019re looking for<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A qualified lawyer with an LLB and a current (or eligible) NZ practising certificate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Approximately 5\u20137 years\u2019 experience in legal, regulatory, policy, or capital markets environments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong analytical and conceptual thinking capability<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent drafting skills, including the ability to produce clear, structured advice and submissions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience engaging with regulators and managing stakeholder relationships<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The ability to translate complex regulatory issues into practical, commercial outcomes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong research capability, including exposure to comparative or international regulatory frameworks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent communication and time management skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About the organisation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our client is a highly regarded organisation operating at the centre of New Zealand\u2019s financial markets.
