Toronto, Canada – GAO Embedded (www.GAOEmbedded.com) has announced the release of its 2812EVM-II DSP evaluation board which provides an on-board VL-Bus as well as data, address and control access terminals. Its price has been reduced to US$469.00 for a limited time. This board’s design is based on the popular TI TMS320F2812 evaluation board, 2812EVM-I. It uses an independent power supply for A/D sampling that protects it from electro-magnetic interference (EMI) from the computing unit.
GAO Embedded’s practical evaluation board, model 2812EVM-II, operates at a frequency of 150MHz and is packed with drivers and control systems. It has eight LEDs providing convenient status indication and a RS-232 interface for PC communication; it also boasts a 10M Ethernet interface and is compatible with NE2000. The evaluation board features on-chip flash program memory, an extended SARM, 4k*16 BOOT ROM and 1k*16 OTP ROM on-chip. It has selectable power source switching between external power supply and USB interface. This evaluation board provides CLK, CS2, CS2, CS6, RD, WR, CS1571, RS1581, EVA, EVB, IN1 to IN8, OUT1 to OUT8 signal testing points and debugging points.
