30 June – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – International legal practice Allen & Overy advised the world’s leading pharmaceutical company, Pfizer, on the sale of its German generic drug subsidiary Heumann Pharma GmbH & Co. Generica KG to the Indian pharmaceutical group Torrent. The sale is subject to regulatory approval..
The disposed company had previously been spun-off from Heumann PCS GmbH which runs the drug plant in Feucht that was not part of this transaction.
The team was led by partner Dr Reinhard Hermes and Senior Associate Ulf Zimmerling (both Corporate/M&A). Partners Eugen Bogenschütz and Dr Asmus Mihm advised on tax law and Associate Christine Bader on antitrust law, among others.
