9 November – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – The Geneva office will enable Charles Russell to capitalise on its highly-rated Private Client team’s existing international capabilities, including significant international trust structuring expertise, whilst offering clients with interests in Switzerland access to UK tax expertise and the support of a large UK team of English-qualified lawyers.
Leading Private Client lawyer Catriona Syed, who is described as “simply excellent” (Legal 500 2005), will head the office, which will initially be staffed by three lawyers.
Catriona Syed said, “Over 50% of our private client work is now international, so it is a logical step for us to open an office in one of world’s leading centres for private wealth management”.
The Geneva office will also benefit other teams with significant interests in Switzerland, including the Telecommunications, Technology, Sports, Pharmaceutical, and Insurance Groups.
