9 September 2004 LAWFUEL – Best for law news, law, legal news, attorneys, law research The management of a world-leading home entertainment support systems company has been advised by a legal team from Pinsents on the £13 million buyout of the company.

David Gallimore, chief executive of Telford-based AVF, and his team have won backing from Lloyds TSB Corporate Acquisition Finance for the MBO of the £21 million turnover business.

AVF designs, manufactures and supplies a range of wall mounts and stands for TVs, videos, stereos and other domestic appliances to stockists worldwide, including Wal-Mart, Argos and Curry’s. The company also has manufacturing operations in California.

The Pinsents team advising management has been led by corporate partner, Joanne Ellis, assisted by Ann McCarthy, Jonathan Snade (corporate); Ruth Packwood, Alice Broadfield (banking); Iain Saunders (property); Pam Sidhu (employment), Dan Guildford, Clare Francis (commercial/ IP); and Liz Morgan, Maxwell Creighton (tax).

Financial advisers to management were Catalyst Corporate Finance.

Lloyds TSB Corporate Acquisition Finance were advised by Eversheds and Wragge & Co acted for the vendors.
