New York, NY, October 9, 2006 –LAWFUEL – Law News Network – Dewey Ballantine LLP, a leading international law firm, announced today that renowned antitrust practitioner A. Paul Victor has joined the firm as partner in the Litigation Department. He resides in the New York office.

Mr. Victor joins from Weil, Gotshal & Manges where he has practiced since 1968. With more than 40 years of experience in some of the largest and most important antitrust and international trade cases, Mr. Victor has represented clients from Japan, the U.S., Canada, Germany, France, China and other countries. His experience includes complex international cartel cases, related federal treble damage and state indirect purchaser class actions and opt-out actions, as well as other antitrust cases involving mergers, alleged conspiracies and Robinson-Patman Act claims.
Prior to his work in private practice, Mr. Victor spent almost 3 years with the Justice Department’s Antitrust Division in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Victor is currently on the ABA Antitrust Section’s International Task Force and has also served as vice chair of the Section, co-chair of the Section’s Task Force on the ICPAC Report, and twice as a member of its Council and chair of its International Antitrust Committee. He has also been active in the work of the International Chamber of Commerce’s Competition Commission. Mr. Victor is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Fordham University Law School, and has written and lectured widely, including at Michigan, Columbia and NYU Law Schools, on various antitrust and international trade law subjects.
