LAWFUEL – Law News Network – Law Jobs – Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP is pleased to announce that Maurice Suh, the former Deputy Mayor of Homeland Security and Public Safety for the City of Los Angeles will join the firm as partner in the Los Angeles office.
Previously, Suh has served as the former Deputy Chief of the Public Corruption and Government Fraud Section of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles and was a partner at Howrey LLP. Suh will focus his practice at Gibson Dunn on complex commercial litigation, internal corporate investigations, and defense of government investigation and enforcement actions. Suh will also work with partner Robert Bonner, the former head of the Customs Department and a former federal judge, in the firm’s fast-growing homeland security practice.

About Maurice Suh
Before his service as Deputy Mayor for Homeland Security and Public Safety, Suh was a partner at Howrey LLP. He was also the Deputy Chief of the Public Corruption and Government Fraud Section of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles, becoming the youngest person to have earned the position. While at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Suh received the “Prosecutor of the Year Award” in 2001 and the “Director’s Award for Superior Performance” in 1998.
Suh received his law degree from Columbia Law School after graduating summa cum laude from Columbia College.
