DALLAS – LAWFUEL – The Legal Newswire – Haynes and Boone, LLP announced Tuesday that it will host a five-week series of conferences on legal issues that concern the restaurant and foodservice industry at the Hotel Palomar Dallas. The sessions will commence at 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays from Sept. 6 through Oct. 11, with the exception of Sept. 13.
The series, designed for senior restaurant executives, board members and general counsel for foodservice companies, will cover issues ranging from employment law to listing shares of a company on the open market. Haynes and Boone attorneys will lead the discussions with partners from the Texas Restaurant Association, restaurant investment and operating company The Chain Gang, The Steed Consultancy and The People Report.
Haynes and Boone partner Bill Strock will kick off the series on Sept. 6 on the topic “Employees: Short on Supply, Costly and Absolutely Necessary.” Following a break to allow the observance of Rosh Hashanah, Haynes and Boone partners Ed Rhyne and Tom Harris will join Sarah Palisi Chapin of The Chain Gang on Sept. 20 for a talk on private equity and other financing vehicles.
On Sept. 27, Bob Albergotti and Trey Monsour of Haynes and Boone will discuss bankruptcy as a strategic business tool, and Deb Coldwell of Haynes and Boone’s Franchise Practice Group will deliver a talk titled “Managing Litigation Risks – How To Stop Litigation From Eating Your Lunch.” Oct. 4 will feature Jan Gilbert of Haynes and Boone and Frank Steed of The Steed Consultancy to discuss expansion and growth strategies. The last session, on Oct. 11 will focus on company executives pondering on whether to take their companies public, with instruction from Art Berner and Bryce Linsenmayer of Haynes and Boone’s Corporate/Securities Practice Group.
