Carroll has joined the firm’s New York office as a partner resident in the Global Finance Group. Mr. Carroll worked most recently for KB Home, where he served as vice president, deputy general counsel and corporate secretary.

Prior to his time at KB Home, Mr. Carroll served as a partner at Morgan Lewis, and as the general counsel of Asia Global Crossing. He began his legal career at Cravath in 1983 and after five years moved to Simpson Thacher, where he became a partner in 1993. Mr. Carroll primarily represents parties engaged in the development and financing of assets in the energy sector in the U.S. and abroad, including lessors and lessees.
Mr. Carroll earned a B.A. cum laude from Dartmouth College and received his J.D. with honors from New York University School of Law where he was an editor of the New York University Law Review. He is admitted to the New York Bar.
