Pepper Hamilton Expands Boston Office: Matthew S. Gilman to Help Grow Corporate and Securities Practice

Boston, MA – September 19, 2007 – Pepper Hamilton LLP announced that it has expanded its Boston office with the addition of Matthew S. Gilman, a corporate and securities lawyer, as a partner. He will assist in the growth and development of the firm’s corporate and securities practice in the Boston office.

Mr. Gilman has extensive experience in public company securities law compliance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, dissident stockholder activities and contests for corporate control, corporate finance and general corporate law. He represents publicly and privately held corporations, emerging growth companies and entrepreneurs in the start-up and development stages of business across a wide range of industries, including technology, life sciences, services and manufacturing.

Mr. Gilman recently served as counsel to a leading women’s health/medical imaging company in a high-profile, $6 billion public company merger, and Massachusetts counsel to a $600 million publicly traded restaurant chain in its sale to a private equity firm. Working closely with university entrepreneurship programs, he also serves as a lecturer, mentor and advisor to entrepreneurs.
